Welcome to GaiaScore. By accessing or using our website, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About GaiaScore

GaiaScore is a sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) intelligence platform designed to help organisations understand, track, and improve their ESG performance. The Platform provides ESG scoring, guided data collection, framework alignment (GRI, ISSB, CSRD, UN SDGs), and investor-ready reporting outputs for SMBs and growth-stage businesses.

2. Use of the Website and Platform

You agree to use GaiaScore:

  • For lawful purposes only
  • In a way that does not harm, disrupt, or misuse the website or Platform
  • Without attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system
  • In accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

We may update, suspend, or withdraw parts of the website or Platform at any time, including for scheduled maintenance or improvements.

3. Accounts and Access

To access the Platform, you must create an account. You agree that:

  • The information you provide during registration is accurate and up to date
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • You will notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account at hello@gaiascore.com
  • Each account is for use by a single organisation; sharing credentials across unrelated entities is not permitted

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

GaiaScore is offered on a subscription basis. By subscribing:

  • You authorise us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on the agreed billing cycle
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date
  • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed
  • We reserve the right to update pricing with reasonable prior notice

5. ESG Data and Reports

You retain ownership of all ESG data and content you submit to the Platform. By submitting data, you grant GaiaScore a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the services you have requested.

GaiaScore will not share your raw ESG data with third parties, including framework bodies (GRI, ISSB, CSRD), without your explicit instruction.

Reports and scores generated by the Platform are based on the data you provide. The accuracy of your outputs depends on the accuracy of your inputs.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and Platform — including text, visuals, logos, branding, software, scoring methodology, and report templates — is owned by GaiaScore or licensed to us.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or reuse any content without our written permission. Your ESG data and reports remain your property.

7. No Professional Advice

GaiaScore is a software tool, not a professional advisory service. Content and outputs provided through the Platform — including ESG scores, framework alignment, and reports — are for informational purposes only.

GaiaScore does not provide legal, financial, regulatory, or compliance advice. You remain solely responsible for ensuring that your ESG disclosures comply with applicable laws, standards, and reporting obligations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, GaiaScore will not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from use of the website or Platform
  • Any reliance placed on ESG scores, reports, or other outputs
  • Inaccurate outputs resulting from inaccurate data inputs
  • Temporary unavailability or interruption of the service
  • Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in that same period.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at hello@gaiascore.com or via your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, legal requirements, or our business. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date on this page
  • Notify active users by email with reasonable advance notice

Continued use of GaiaScore after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of UK. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
